Adam Fuss

An ex of mine works at a gallery in NY and sent along some photography by Adam Fuss. Incredible. I love being exposed to totally new modalities and he uses a technique called a photogram to create these haunting images:




I guess the process involves leaving items on photographic paper in a dark room on an enlarger for a period of time to expose the paper just enough to capture the skeleton of the image.

Changing Room Magazine

Changing Room, the new magazine I write for is launching this friday. I'm super excited to be involved in this project. I've been working with Lisa Radon over at Ultra PDX, which is an incredible blog about the fashion, art and design coming out of Portland. If you're in Portland on friday 2/1, swing by the Ace Hotel and check out the launch event. It should be tons of fun with many cool Portland designers showing their Spring 08 collections.

I happy to welcome Beki from Out of Line clothing to the shop. Here are some shots from a previous season - just to give you an idea what to expect. Beki's pieces are all hand made and incredibly well-constructed. I love everything that comes out of her studio.
